Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PromptForge (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Description of Service

PromptForge is an AI-powered prompt generator that helps users create optimized prompts for various AI applications across five categories: code, writing, image generation, data analysis, and AI assistants. The Service uses advanced language models (GPT-4o Mini and Claude Sonnet via OpenRouter) to enhance user-provided input.

Account Terms

Registration

You may use the Service anonymously with limited access or create an account using OAuth authentication via Google, GitHub, or Facebook through Better Auth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • One person or entity may not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits

Usage Limits and Subscription Tiers

Free Tier

  • 5 prompt generations per day
  • Access to all five prompt categories
  • Basic support

Pro Tier

  • 1,000 prompt generations per month
  • Access to all five prompt categories
  • Priority support
  • Early access to new features
  • Pricing: $12 per month or $99 per year (save 31%)

Usage limits reset daily for Free tier users and monthly for Pro tier users. Unused generations do not roll over to the next period.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Violate any intellectual property rights or proprietary rights of any party
  • Transmit spam, chain letters, or other unsolicited communications
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
  • Use the Service to develop competing products or services
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal usage

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates this Acceptable Use Policy, including suspending or terminating accounts without refund.

Payment Terms

Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed through Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until you cancel.

Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
  • We reserve the right to offer refunds on a case-by-case basis at our discretion

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. If we increase prices for existing subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the prompts you input and generate through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your input and store generated prompts for service delivery and improvement purposes.

Our Content

The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, meta-prompts, and branding, is owned by PromptForge and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our proprietary technology.

AI-Generated Content

Generated prompts are created using AI models (GPT-4o Mini and Claude Sonnet). While you own the output, we cannot guarantee that AI-generated content is unique or free from third-party claims. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before use.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the Service
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy, quality, or suitability of AI-generated content
  • You use AI-generated prompts at your own risk and are solely responsible for their application

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PromptForge, its affiliates, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Any other reason at our sole discretion

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data after termination, though we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers (Better Auth, Lemon Squeezy, OpenRouter, PostHog, Turso). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party providers.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action related to the Service must be brought in the appropriate courts located in the United States.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PromptForge regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
